A little about me.

Constance “Connie” Fauver Anderson – Writer-Producer

Connie, a native of Baton Rouge, LA, attended Louisiana State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Education, a Master of Education degree in Educational Media, and post-graduate certification as an Educational Technology Facilitator.  She is a seasoned communication specialist with an extensive professional background in educational, commercial and Catholic cable television; free-lance film and video production; special event, alumni and public relations coordination; and educational website development.

Her professional television and free-lance film/video credits include work for WAFB-TV (Baton Rouge, LA); WMUL-PTV (Huntington, WV); WBRZ-TV (Baton Rouge, LA); the Arts & Humanities Councils for Baton Rouge and New Orleans, LA; the Louisiana State Arts Council; CatholicLifeTelevision (Baton Rouge, LA); and the College of Engineering, Louisiana State University (Baton Rouge, LA).

In 1994, inspired by the saintly witness of Bl. Mother Teresa of Calcutta and Bl. Pope John Paul the Great, Connie began to study her Faith more deeply, taking courses in Evangelization, Sacramental Theology and the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the documents of Vatican II and Catholic Church History.  Her religious studies coincided with her volunteer work with the Missionaries of Charity at St. Agnes Church, Baton Rouge).

Mother Teresa’s “formula” for seeing Christ, “first in the home, then in the neighborhood, then in the community and then in the world,” became a “formula” for Connie’s work.  Her early love for Louisiana history and Catholic culture continued to have significant influence as well.

In 2003, Connie produced The Louisiana Rosary for CatholicLifeTelevision, “a media ministry for the Diocese of Baton Rouge.”  The Rosary, which was taped during the Year of the Rosary and the Bicentennial of the Louisiana Purchase, features Our Lady of Prompt Succor, patroness of New Orleans and Louisiana.    Using local historic locations, like Magnolia Mound Plantation and Highland Cemetery, each Mystery visually reflects some aspect of the joys, sorrows, work and hoped-for heavenly glory of Baton Rouge Catholic families, both past and present.  Underwritten by the Foundation for Mary, The Rosary still airs on CLTV three times daily.

Connie’s most recent productions include writing and producing a 12-program, half-hour series, Beacons of Light 2010, for the Baton Rouge Society of St. Vincent de Paul.  Because 2010 was also the 350th Anniversary of the deaths of Vincentian family founders, St. Vincent de Paul and St. Louise de Marillac, she again had an opportunity to use history, art, culture and family life to develop a series.  As an added bonus, she developed several world-wide contacts, as well as made many new email friends.

In addition to the 2010 Beacons’ series, Connie also produced a 30-second PSA promoting the BR SVdP’s cookbook, Taste & See; a half-hour special for the Bishop’s Annual Appeal (Office of Stewardship, Diocese of Baton Rouge); and a 30-second PSA promoting the Appeal’s help to CatholicLifeTelevision.

Connie is currently producing ten 60-second PSAs for the Office of Stewardship for broadcast exclusively on CatholicLife Television.  The spots will showcase the charitable works and ministries supported by the Appeal’s funds.  Anticipated airdates are mid-September - December, 2011.

Committed to finding new opportunities which will allow QuickHelp Productions to produce high quality, true-to-life Catholic videos, Connie seeks to emulate Mother Teresa’s famous quote, “Do something beautiful for God!”
